The parentage of this violin is highly suspect but one thing is certain, it was not progeny of the great maker indicated by its label. Made in the mid 19th sentury: Comp-lately restored in 2003. A player's instrument through & through. This violin's dark, sultry sound does not steal from its sweet bright notes on top. While not pedigree by parentage this child of the night will warm its master completely.
